Hector Bellerin posts tweet after being subject to chants from Arsenal fans

Wenger has refused to explain what his plans are for the 2017/18 campaign, despite claiming he'd made his mind up on his decision.

Chants including "Arsene Wenger, we want you to go", "We want Wenger out" and "You're not fit to wear the shirt" were clearly audible inside the ground, with Arsenal's players then subjected to verbal abuse as they headed for the team coach.

"In the second half, they came out strong, scored the second goal and from then on you could see it was more hard".

"It was more painful for us to lose this game in the way we lost it".

"We didn't let them play and everything worked perfectly, the lads carried out the game plan perfectly and to boot we got a clean sheet against an Arsenal side that scores a lot of goals".

Arsenal have conceded three goals in four straight away league games for the first time since 1929. It is up to them.

The Gunners have lost four consecutive Premier League away matches for the first time under Arsene Wenger. He did so much for myself. I think they are extremely disappointed and I can understand that because we all are. It is not an easy situation.

After the right-back was criticised by Arsenal fans, the defender tweeted: "Morning run to recover from a hard night", accompanied with a picture of him running alongside a beach. Should they unexpectedly win that match, a final against Chelsea or Tottenham would await and an opportunity to end the season on the high of Wenger winning an all-time record seventh FA Cup.

Wenger is in full control of the Gunners, meaning suggestions someone could be appointed to oversee transfer dealings above him could undermine him.

Following last night's defeat he said: "I face it in every press conference at the moment but tonight I'm not in the mood to speak about it".

And Zaha, who added another two assists to take his tally to nine in the Premier League this season, was delighted with the manner of the victory and the significance of the win for Palace.

Majority shareholder, USA businessman Stan Kroenke, a Wenger supporter, will ultimately have the final say.

"We've recently announced our results from an Arsenal Supporters Trust survey from all our members on the future of Arsene Wenger, and 78 per cent have decided that it is time for Arsene to leave the football club in the summer".

But, asked if the uncertainty about his future is affecting the players, he said: "No, I don't think so".

Former Arsenal right-back Lee Dixon was also critical of the players, posting on his Twitter account: "Sometimes players have nights where nothing goes right".
