The U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee issued a subpoena on Wednesday demanding documents related to Russian Federation from President Donald Trump's former national security adviser Michael Flynn, ramping up its months-long investigation of Moscow's alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

The senators said they requested the documents on April 28, but Flynn "declined, through counsel, to cooperate with the Committee's request". Mark Warner, D-Va., vice chairman of the panel, said, "The subpoena requests documents relevant to the Committee's investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 elections".

Warner said on Tuesday that the committee has been receiving documents as it investigates allegations that Russian Federation sought to influence the USA election, something Moscow denies. "Everything has been voluntary up to this point, and we've interviewed a lot of people, and I want to continue to do it in a voluntary fashion", Burr said earlier on Wednesday.

The Senate Intelligence Committee - using its subpoena power for the first time since 9-11 demanded documents on Russian Federation from fired National Security Adviser Mike Flynn.

It won't be easy. "They are a strong physical team, good coach and the atmosphere there can be very hot". The fans deserve Premier League football and we have to find a team to do that.

Those reports suggested that Flynn may have given Kislyak the impression that the incoming administration might be willing to consider lifting sanctions that were imposed on Moscow following Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea, a Ukrainian territory.

Flynn was sacked by Trump in February after less than a month on the job. In March, Mr Kelner requested immunity for Mr Flynn to testify in Congress, saying the media was filled with "unfounded allegations, outrageous claims of treason, and vicious innuendo directed against him".

He also says in an appearance on NBC's "Today" show that he favored the firing of FBI Director James Comey and thought that Trump "made the right decision".

Committee chairman Republican Richard Burr had previously warned he would issue subpoenas for those who did not cooperate with the investigation.
