Windows Store To Support iTunes Soon

Microsoft’s latest VR controllers work just fine but what happens when the competition ups the ante

A listing of the WhatsApp has recently popped up on the Windows Store, indicating that the app will soon be available for Windows 10 PCs sometime soon.

In other words, users will be able to enjoy the best of Windows 10 even if they have an iPhone, as Microsoft is adding integration with iOS and making it possible for Microsoft Graph developers to connect desktop apps to mobile apps.

Story Remix is a brand new application coming to Windows 10 in the Fall Creators Update. Clipboard syncs your clipboard content across devices over the cloud, allowing you to copy on one device and paste on another.

The announcements were made at the Microsoft Build 2017 conference held in Seattle on 10-12 May.

All the changes being brought by Microsoft to Windows 10 via the Fall Creators Update is consistent with providing users with accessibility.

Another feature for the new OS is OneDrive files on demand. Microsoft's operating system is no longer confined to PCs navigated via keyboard and mouse-it's used in Xbox consoles, tablets, 2-in-1 products with touch interfaces, IoT devices, and Windows Mixed Reality HMDs.

Windows Store had a pretty good month so far.

To accompany the new controllers, Microsoft announced that Acer and HP's own mixed reality headsets are now open for pre-headers for developers in the United States and Canada. It is a novel design language for Windows 10, and the main focus is to give developers access to a single design language that will work across a different set of platforms. During the holiday shopping season, Acer also plans to sell a $399 bundle that includes a Windows Mixed Reality Headset and motion controllers from Microsoft.

Those untethered controllers can be paired with other headsets, Microsoft says.

Microsoft revealed Apple's iTunes and the Apple Music streaming service will be arriving on the Windows Store later this year. iTunes, is already available on the Windows platform, but the arrival of a Windows Store app is a big deal. "There is no need to install hardware on the walls around you".
