Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 in India today. It is going to be pretty big shoes to fill for the new Redmi 4 as its predecessor saw blazing sales.

Smartphone has CNC-drilled speakers, which are fitted at the bottom of the device in Xiaomi Redmi 4. It has a 2.5D curved glass that makes the phone look elegant and comfortable to hold. This phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processsor clocked at 1.4 GHz with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone has 4100mAh battery which the company claims can last two days of heavy usage on a charge. The front camera sports a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, coupled with an 85-degree wide angle lens.

For photography, It features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and on the front, It has a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 for selfies and video chats. While the phone with 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory is priced at Rs 6,999; the variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory is available for Rs 8,999 and the device with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory is available for Rs 10,999. It's also including a number of features like App Lock, Second Space, and Dual Apps. Xiaomi Redmi 4 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Mi Router 3C is Xiaomi's first smart router in India. It uses a four copper+PCB antenna system. This offers an improved Wi-Fi range and signal stability. With 64MB RAM, which is 8X than normal routers, it allows up to 64 devices to be connected to it. It can also send notifications to the administrator when children connect their devices to the router. It will be available via Flipkart and Mi.com, from 12pm IST. Plus, it allows pre-configured guest-sharing of Wi-Fi password and parental controls.

The Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime were launched in China in November previous year, alongside the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, which has been available in India since March. Xiaomi has announced that the smartphone will get Android N after its beta testing is complete. Alongside, the company has set out Xiaomi Redmi 4A in 2017 (March) in India.

Redmi 4 will be available on 23 May 2017 at 12 noon on Mi.com and Amazon.in. In India, both the smartphones may come with price below Rs.8000, falling under mid-range phones list.
