OnePlus wants to make the world's best camera phone

Real Life Images of the One Plus 5 leaked again

DxO is the company behind DxOMark, which is a benchmark for camera and lens image quality measurements and ratings.

With regards to the DxO partnership, OnePlus still hasn't given too much away, but Etienne Knauer, SVP Sales & Marketing at DxO, said: "OnePlus has always been one of the leading innovators in the smartphone industry, and we are proud to partner with them and support their exciting mobile photography strategy".

The Chinese company usually launches a "Flagship Killer" smartphone every year and this year the anicipated OnePlus 5 is making a lot noise beacause of the dual rear camera setup. It could be up to $650 at launch as OnePlus has opted to use higher-end components to better compete with flagships. OnePlus staff member diegohnz has confirmed on its official blog that the company has teamed up with DxO, which is renowned name in image testing and processing.

As of now, the OnePlus 5 is rumoured to have a dual-camera lens.

It looks like OnePlus wants to make the OnePlus 5 have one of the best camera phones on the market. Previously, the Google Pixel held that title.

When the OnePlus 5 is released in the coming months, expect its camera score from DxOMark to be alongside it. OnePlus announced this morning that they are working with the photography benchmarker to "enhance your photography experience". Having that in mind, the OnePlus 5 leaked a number of times thus far, various renders and prototype devices surfaced, and yet, we're still not entirely sure what will the phone like.

The OnePlus 5 will probably sport a 5.5-inch fullHD or QHD AMOLED display, along with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and chances are that several storage variants will become available.

Recollecting some previous leaks, OnePlus 5 will run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU.
