This Week's WWE Smackdown Live Viewership Hits Record Low Heading Into Backlash

Jinder Mahal Explains Why He Got A WWE Main Event Push And Answers Steroid Accusations

Styles will battle Kevin Owens for the U.S. Championship at WWE Backlash, live on Sky Sports Box Office at 1am on Monday morning. On Sunday, Zayn gets a chance at revenge against the man who attacked him backstage. Owens said that Jericho is now on the injured list and that what he did to Jericho is a sneak peek to what he will do to AJ Styles at Backlash. Styles for his part said that he would bring the United States title back to America. Styles told him to focus on tonight, so he can make to Backlash. Owens went behind the mic for this one.

Jinder has since aligned himself with The Singh Brothers, Gurv and Harv Sihra (formerly known as The Bollywood Boyz on NXT) to help establish himself as a thorn in Orton's side and add credibility to a match that quite literally came outta nowhere. Plus, Kevin Owens hosts an episode of The Highlight Reel, and Randy Orton faces Baron Corbin in the final show prior to the Backlash pay-per-view. Although the Viper won, the Singh Brothers pounced on him and took him down.

Contract signing for the six-woman tag team match: SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon made four introductions and the women all took turns making a quick statement and signing the paper. Because of SmackDown's moniker as the Land of Opportunity, many felt this was a slight against them, causing Natalya to form The Welcoming Committee with returning veteran Tamina and the cocky Carmella. But, before that, these six have to sign a contract tonight which may end as a result of brawling in the ring.

There is no doubt that this feud is taking place to give every woman on the roster something to do while we wait for the inevitable Charlotte and Naomi feud that will probably take place this summer and I have a strong suspicion the seeds for that could be planted at Backlash. The Singh brothers try to launch a sneak attack, but Orton catches them. After losing to Orton in Tuesday's main event, Corbin should bounce back with a victory at Backlash. Orton hit a powerslam then hit a DDT off the second rope.

- This WWE SmackDown Fallout video from this week features Carmella and James Ellsworth after Carmella's non-title win over SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi. Corbin went for a chokeslam but Orton fought out of it. Corbin missed a spear and ate the ring post.

Well, who would have thought we'd ever see this day coming?
