Secret Service says it doesn't have any Trump tapes

Spicer is also refusing to say whether tapes exist of the president's conversations with FBI Director James Comey before Trump fired him.

One of the highlights of James Comey's Senate testimony last week occurred when the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director enthusiastically said, "Lordy, I hope there are tapes" when discussing President Trump's tweet-threat to release "tapes" of the private conversations between the two.

On Friday, Mr. Trump kept the tapes mystery alive, telling reporters in the White House Rose Garden, "I'll tell you about that maybe sometime in the very near future".

The original Freedom of Information Act request for possible Secret Service tapes and/or transcripts was sent by The Wall Street Journal, though the publication was careful to mention that conversations could have been monitored by an organization other than the Secret Service. The newspaper noted that it doesn't exclude the possibility of recordings created by another entity.

One reporter asked Spicer if audio recordings of the conversations actually existed.

Chicago girls shot on school playground latest in spate of gun incidents
Shortly after, police stopped a vehicle near the school they thought was linked to the shooting and questioned the occupants. The Chicago Public Schools website describes it as "a magnet cluster school with a focus on math and science".

Richard Nixon's staff installed a voice-activated system that automatically recorded everything said in the Oval Office because the former president, who was bad with technology, was uncomfortable manipulating the buttons on a tape recorder. If they did not hear them shortly, you would disappoint when you look to the Comey answers.

Sean Spicer is the Press Secretary. If he did make the tapes and hands them over, he better hope they prove his version of the facts, and not Comey's.

On Friday, June 9th President Trump is so clear in saying that there are conversations between him and James Comey.

Since his ominous tweet, Trump has repeatedly refused to confirm or deny whether those tapes exist.
