Burning hunk of love: The Galaxy Note 8 rumor

Fresh leaks suggest Vivo may beat Apple in on-screen fingerprint sensor integration

Pan's report is far more credible than your usual analyst talk, however, as the researcher shared a video of a prototype Vivo phone with a fingerprint scanner invisibly embedded into the screen. The image shows the smartphone with an nearly bezel-less display.

However, it would now appear that the Samsung Bixby early access program is coming to the USA, according to a new report earlier this week from TechCrunch.

Android Headlines note that the handset on the leaked clip looks a lot like the Vivo X9, which led the site to believe that the successor of the said device will likely be the one to debut the on-screen fingerprint sensor. Now it is expected that the Galaxy Note 8 and the Apple iPhone 8 will have it.

The big question for iPhone owners will be "what has the new iPhone got over an all new Samsung Note 8". The source also claimed that Samsung poured its resources in the tech's development, only to be met with "frustrating" results. This video is adding a new level on the rumors of beneath display fingerprint sensor. It is also capable of recording slow motion films at 960fps, which is four-times the amount offered on Apple's iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S8.

The screen is also "noticeably sharper than its competitors" and its colourful user interface is "a treat for the eyes", reports T3.

The two top phone makers are Apple and Samsung so, uh, yeah, it stands to reason that they'd both produce the most impressive flagship phones in the world. Vivo was able to sell 26 million units just during the first quarter of 2017. As per the rumors, this new technology has given the manufacturer the freedom to make the smartphone lighter.

Aside from Vivo, other Chinese manufacturers appear to be stepping up their game as well.

However, Naver reportedly learned from a Samsung executive that due to "technical limitations such as security", the company has ultimately decided not to implement in-display fingerprint authentication after all. Huawei might include it next year for the Huawei P11.
