Perez mum on rumors Ronaldo wants to leave Madrid

Zinedine Zidane

Newly re-elected Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is "not contemplating" Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the European champions, despite talk of the disgruntled star returning to Manchester United.

The Portugal global will have to appear in the Pozuelo de Alarcon court No. 1 on July 31.

A four-time Ballon d'Or victor, the 32-year-old Ronaldo is the top European soccer player.

"I'm not contemplating that Cristiano will leave".

Real Madrid was not immediately available for comment on the allegations against Mourihno or Ronaldo's hearing.

The playmaker is considered the best player of all time by many and has a strong sporting rivalry with Real Madrid man Cristiano Ronaldo. "No offer has been received for him".

"But will he leave Real Madrid?"

"I have not spoken with him".

Real Madrid has also declared its support for the 32 year old.

USA shot down Syrian plane that bombed coalition-backed fighters
A Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet shot down a Syrian SU-22 on Sunday, giving the US military its first air-to-air kill since 1999. An initial attack by forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad occurred at 4:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m.

In quotes carried on Marca's website, Perez said: "I have not spoken to him".

In a statement, Ronaldo's management company Gestifute said there had been no attempt to evade taxes.

And the Portugal forward, who is now away on global duty at the Confederations Cup, maintains a good relationship with PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

He said that Ronaldo had clearly done nothing wrong and Perez was appalled that the "presumption of innocence is not respected" by the media who have branded the played a delinquent.

The 70-year-old, who was re-elected in 2009 having previously held the post between 2000-06, is the second most successful president in Real's history in terms of football trophies won during his tenure, behind only Santiago Bernabeu who served between 1943 and 1978 and who the club's stadium is named after.

There has been speculation that Ronaldo is trying to put pressure on Real so that they will bear some of the burden of an eventual fine for tax evasion as Barcelona did for Lionel Messi.

Manchester United had finished sixth in the English Premier League.

Since extending his contract in November until 2021, Ronaldo is according to Forbes the highest paid sports star in the world with US$93 million in 2016-2017.
