Mark Sampson: Sky is the limit for Lionesses

Siobhan Chamberlain is ready to play for England in their Euro 2017 semi-final

"With the tournament in their own country, the crowd will be full of Dutch people and they will be all against us but we've been through experiences where we have been the underdog".

Kirby is a case study in Sampson's style. "We're devastated for KB because she's played such a big part in us getting to this stage, not only during the tournament but over the last few years".

"She's on fire and it's great for me to see this because of course she's still my teammate", the 27-year-old Van Veenendaal told AFP at the Netherlands' training base in Zeist. 'We know Holland will be a big challenge and we're definitely not underestimating any team.

"Well, listen, us strikers, I think goalkeepers and centre-forwards are probably the most unique players", said Owen in an interview to promote McDonald's sponsorship of Euro 2017.

She scored a hat-trick against Scotland and was on the mark against Spain in the group and France in the quarter-final.

"We need to deal with the emotions, the pressure and the crowd".

"Those two games give us confidence".

"Times change for them and also for us, so it's not deja-vu", said Van Veenendaal.

Last season she balanced studying for her GCSEs with playing for Arsenal - where she has started appearing for the reserve team - and also the England Under-17 outfit, including in the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championships.

And they will come up against fellow Royal Mandy van den Berg, whose Netherlands side knocked out Sweden in another of the weekend's quarter finals.

Moore played the full 90 minutes against the French along with Kirby, while Potter was an unused substitute in Deventer on Sunday night.

England will fancy their chances against either team - but first they've got to beat the Netherlands.

Taylor is the tournament's top scorer with five goals from just three games, after being rested for the final group game against Portugal.

England held on from there to secure a famous win and they are now the highest-ranked team left in Euro 2017.

If the Lionesses make it to the final it will be their first major final in eight years. 'It's a tough time for Karen, ' the vice-captain added.

SSE is an official partner of the England Women's team and is proud to be the energy behind women's football, supporting the game from grassroots through to worldwide level.
