Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon is reportedly considering running for political office. Right: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo speaks during a press conference on February 15, 2017 in NYC.

She has been an outspoken critic of her potential political rival, previously slamming Cuomo for his education policies.

Appearing on "The View" in April, Nixon blamed the governor for a lack of funding for public schools.

Nixon has been active in local NY politics for years, particularly in the area of public education.

But, that wasn't the first time Nixon compared Cuomo to DeVos. Analysts have called her candidacy "a long shot", but that hasn't torched anyone's hope.
