Anna Paquin reacts to BBC news showing her breasts on air

Baring all The 34-year-old plays a risk-taking cop in the series which aired on CBC in Canada on February 20

"It beggars belief a sex scene should be played live on air".

While many thought the slip-up may have been porn or explicit material, Hollywood actress Anna Paquin has since identified the clip as a scene from Vampire drama, True Blood, in which she starred.

Word of the faux pas eventually reached Paquin herself, and when it did, she had the most hilarious response.

A member of staff had been viewing an episode of True Blood at their desk.

35-year-old Paquin found the incident highly entertaining and promptly took to social media to laugh it off. The actress posted a tweet on August 11, after the incident came to her attention, with a link to an article about the mishap written by the Telegraph.

"My breasts! So amusing on so many levels", Anna tweeted alongside a news report about the steamy bulletin interruption. "Now that I know what u guys were talking about this some of the funniest shit I've seen in a while!" Thanks for the giggle!

The BBC issued a statement afterwards, saying that they were investigating the incident and were "establishing the facts".

'Ya know you've made when. your t**s photo bomb the news at 10'.

Presenter Sophie Raworth was reading the news, unaware that she had been upstaged by the footage. "My t-s photobombed the news because someone was watching #trueblood in view of camera??" she wrote.

Anna played the lead role in "True Blood", Sookie Stackhouse, for seven seasons, until it was eventually axed in 2014, and won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the character in 2008.
