USC's Blind Long Snapper Jake Olson Makes Successful Debut

LOS ANGELES CA- SEPTEMBER 02 Western Michigan Broncos quarterback Jon Wassink #16 runs the ball in for a touchdown during the game against the USC Trojans

By age 12, he had to have both his eyes removed, but that didn't stop him from pursuing his athletic dreams.

USC helped Jake Olson fulfil his dream on Saturday as the blind long snapper made his debut for the Trojans.

Olson grew up a Trojans fan and became a constant guest of the team at games when the team was led by coach Pete Carroll, now the Seattle Seahawks' head coach. He previously had lost his left eye when he was 10 months old. Olson developed a close relationship with the USC program at the time and spent the night before his surgery watching USC practice.

Myanmar Armed Forces Burn Villages, Fire On Fleeing Civilians
In the wake of the report, Aung San Suu Kyi has accused global aid workers of helping "terrorists" in the region. The crackdown by Myanmar forces also sparked a mass evacuation of thousands of Buddhist residents of the area.

This is the best video you will see all weekend in college football and very likely beyond the world of sports. The Broncos took a 21-14 in the third quarter and tied the game at 28 in the fourth before the Trojans scored on two huge running plays and an interceptions return for a touchdown.

After getting a tough battle from Western Michigan all game, No. 4 USC pulled away late, winning 49-31.

Olson knew going into the game that if the opportunity presented itself, he might get a chance to snap. He joined the team with a scholarship for disabled athletes. "I love the game of football, I love the camaraderie that goes on within a team and just being out there and playing the great game".
