Moriya on heels of leader Lewis at Portland Classic

GOLF: Stacy Lewis to donate Portland Classic winnings to Harvey victims

The LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2013 and sister of world number three Ariya Jutanugarn, she is seeking her first career victory.

"It would be probably one of my most special wins, just to be able to do this for the people in Texas and to do it too when everybody is watching", Lewis told reporters. "I kind of put all the eyeballs on me and put some pressure on myself, so it's nice to kind of see myself performing, too". Her husband, Gerrod Chadwell, is the women's golf coach at the University of Houston.

The 19-year-old from Smiths Falls, Ont., fired six birdies and an eagle to jump up the leaderboard from second to first place, where she was tied with first-round leader In Gee Chun of South Korea and American Stacy Lewis at 10 under.

Stacy Lewis tees off on the second hole on her way to a 7-under 65 in Round 3 at the Cambia Portland Classic. Chun was another stroke back after a 69.

Two-time defending champion Brooke Henderson of Canada was well nine after shooting 74 on Saturday, but had a strong round going on Sunday until a triple bogey on the 18th.

The LPGA Tour now moves to Indianapolis for the Indy Women in Tech Championship ahead of the Evian Championship in France the following week.

Lewis led by three shots entering the final round. Everybody talks about it.

Though the win was all about helping others, Lewis also heaved a sigh of relief for getting "the monkey off my back" and knowing she could "hit the shots when I need to and hit the putts when I need to". She hit a good lag putt and when the three-footer that was left went in, Lewis had won and the money was going to Houston. To make that up-and-down on 17 and then to hit that shot out of the bunker on 18, it's something you dream about'. "Everybody talks about it", Lewis said.

"When I said that I had the goal of winning the tournament, you've got to get a lot of things right, to go your way", Lewis said. She bounced back immediately, however, with a birdie on the very next hole.

"I think just keep everything the same".

"I want to finish in the top five", Hataoka said.

Lewis is looking for her first win on the LPGA Tour since 2014.

Lewis rebounded from a bogey at the par-3 16th with a 5-foot birdie putt at the hard par-4 17th.

Down the stretch, the 46th Portland LPGA tournament turned into a two-way battle in the final threesome, and it wasn't decided until the final stroke, a short par putt by Lewis. "Always learn something new every time when we play in the final group".
