YU Yureka 2 sports a 5.5 inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Micromax's subsidiary Yureka on Thursday (14 September) announced the launch of its new smartphone in the budget segment- Yureka 2 in India. It is packed with 3930 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The handset also ships with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader which is slotted below the camera module.

In terms of the camera the phone packs in a 16 MP rear shooter with a dual-LED flash coupled with a front camera with an 8 MP sensor. It has 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of built-in storage.

Apple still compares itself to watch companies even though it is not positioning its watch for fitness, like wearable makers do. Soon, the combination of cellular and watchOS 4 will allow Apple Music users to stream 40 million songs right from their wrist.

In any case, with this launch, Yu Yureka 2 becomes the sixth smartphone under the Yureka series. It will join the company's Yureka lineup, which already includes devices like Yureka Black, Yureka S, Yureka Note and Yureka Plus. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, Yureka Black features 32GB internal storage. Also keeping with current trends, the Yureka 2 comes with a sleek full metal unibody construction as well.

Yu Mobiles notes that Yureka 2 will be offering in Gold colour and the sales open September 20. On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, dual-SIM and micro USB port. Interestingly, the device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and the Android 7.0 Nougat update should be expected soon.
