Ex-'Glee' star Mark Salling gets prison in child porn case

Mark Salling has plea bargained his child pornography case... pleading guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor

People has reported that investigators discovered more than 25,000 images and some 600 videos containing forms of child pornography on thumb drives and computers that belonged to Salling.

He also won't be able to live "within direct view of school yards, parks, public swimming pools, playgrounds, youth centers, video arcade facilities or other places primarily used by persons under the age of 18".

Salling, 35, was also ordered to pay $50,000 in restitution to each victim of the child pornography who has requested it. The plea bargain has saved Salling from the prospect of spending up to 20 years in prison.

As part of the agreement, Salling will be subject to 20 years supervised release and will have strict restrictions placed on his contact with under-18s. The U.S. Attorney's Office subsequently filed charges against him for the receipt and possession of child pornography, notes the Hollywood Reporter. The plea deal comes more than a year after he first pleaded not guilty to two counts receiving and possessing child pornography in June 2016. Puck was a regular character on "Glee" for four seasons, and from then on he only made guest appearances.

Mark Salling starred on the hit FOX show Glee.

Mark has agreed to serve 4-7 years behind bars and will be under supervised release for 20 years.

Salling was accused of sexual battery in 2013 but the case was settled out of court, he denied the charges and sued the plaintiff for defamation. Following his indictment, he was dropped from Adi Shankar's Gods and Secrets, a project that also stars Chaz Bono and Denise Richards.

His ex-girlfriend and co-star Naya Rivera wrote on her book "Sorry, Not Sorry" that she wasn't surprised that he got into trouble, but the gravity of his crime was still appalling.
