Iran top leader urges Europe to do more to back nuclear deal

US Treasury Department has imposed new sanctions against nine Iranian people and entities in an action unrelated to Iran’s nuclear program

"We can not and will not make this certification", President Trump said in his speech. 13 speech announcing the policy was nothing short of war mongering and marks the elimination of any prospects for successful US-Iran diplomacy.

Tensions between the United States and Iran reached and all-time low recently over the deal.

"It is not a bilateral agreement, it does not belong to any single country and it is not up to any single country to terminate it", Mogherini said.

Will Trump Designate IRGC a Terrorist Organization?

"Moreover, at that point in time folks, we have a year of break-up". Both of those movements emerged in resistance to US-backed Israeli violence and aggression, which vastly exceeds anything attributed to these villains, let alone the normal practice of the hegemonic power whose global drone assassination campaign alone dominates (and helps to foster) worldwide terrorism.

While the United States and some of his regional allies support for the terrorist groups in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan including ISIL, this country accuses Iran of supporting terrorist groups in the region.

Trump's speech was notable given that it was light on actual strategy.

Trump's approach has been blasted by many countries, worldwide bodies, political communities and world media. Consequently, such rhetoric reinforces to the Iranian people the disingenuousness of Trump's references to their "proud history ... culture ..." The scholar underscored that "virtually all the European Union countries, as well as Japan, South Korea, China, the countries of South-East Asia are interested in developing economic relations with Iran and are against a new anti-Iran campaign and new anti-Iran sanctions".

He called on Europe to actively oppose Mr Trump's position. Yukiya Amano of the IAEA told Reuters that when it comes to inspections, which are stipulated in Section T of the agreement, "our tools are limited". Thus, it appears that the United States is experiencing unprecedented global isolation on Iran.

Graham suggested the Trump administration needs a "more cohesive policy" regarding tensions between Iraq and the Kurdish autonomous region after Iraqi troops reclaimed the city of Kirkuk and Kurdish separatists withdrew from contested oil fields.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry, who spearheaded U.S. diplomacy with Iran, called Trump's decision "a reckless abandonment of facts in favor of ego and ideology from a president who would rather play a high-stakes game of chicken with Congress and with Iran than admit that the nuclear agreement is working". By committing to a regime change policy, Trump is not only contradicting his own campaign rhetoric, which castigated USA policies of regime change under Obama and President George W. Bush, but is violating the United Nations charter and reviving memories in the Iranian public of the 1953 CIA-orchestrated coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Mohammad Mossadegh.

"There are few supporters of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) in America, but there are many opponents of Trump".

US President Donald Trump and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres speak during a meeting on United Nations reform at the UN headquarters in New York, September 18, 2017.

Should Trump walk away from the deal, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that Iran would "shred" it. Iran should view these developments as a sign of weakening in the stance taken by Britain, Germany and even France over its earlier ambivalence regarding separation of the deal with Tehran's behavior in its region.

In his first response to Trump, Khamenei said: "I don't want to waste our time to respond to the rants and whoppers of the foul-throated president of the United States".
