Your iPhone X may be delivered even sooner than expected

YouTuber says Apple engineer father fired for her viral iPhone video

Brooke Amelia Peterson said her father had been fired from Apple for a video she made.

The original video, which has since been taken down, showed off new features of the iPhone X, including using Apple Pay, shots from inside Apple's cafeteria and even shots of Bauer, who handed the phone to Peterson in the video. But the strict rule had already been broken, violating Apple's prohibition of shooting videos inside the campus. "They had to do what they had to do". According to the Apple's official Support page, iPhone X users will be charged $279 (roughly Rs. 18,000) for screen repairs without AppleCare+ cover in the US.

Apple sold out of the first batch of the iPhone X, its 10th anniversary edition of the iconic smartphone, that's due to start shipping on November 3.

"Apple let him go", Peterson said in the video.

In it, she said her father had been a "privileged engineer who had worked on the iPhone X", and did not expect the fallout from the video because of the range of hands-on videos posted online since Apple announced the device in September. Back in 2005 a Microsoft employee was let go after his stepson posted photos of the Xbox 360 online before the console was launched.

The iPhone X has gone on sale, so naturally there is an official fix price list released should you need to fix the device, and since it is an iPhone X, you are not going to expect any friendly prices.

KitGuru Says: Apple hasn't had much luck stopping product leaks over the last few years but this instance actually carried out right on its own campus.

Everything sounds great for the end consumers that have placed an order for the iPhone X but they won't be happy to know that getting the iPhone X may take longer than usual. There have been various reports concerning the lag in iPhone X production, including confirmation from LG Innotek; and the device's launch is coming six weeks after the release of the iPhone 8, which doesn't feature Face ID.
