Black Friday 2017 - Amazon announces week of deals and here's when they start

As is the case with other retailers, Penney is getting an earlier start on Black Friday deals, starting online promotions on the preceding weekend rather than they day before, and the company has already released its 72-page Black Friday circular, publishing it nearly a week earlier than previous year.

Target is putting an end to the all-night shopping bonanza in its stores on Thanksgiving night. However, new to this year, Target will close its stores at midnight and reopen at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

The company says their hours this year will give team members a chance to recharge and prepare their stores for "even more holiday savings" on Black Friday.

Target Corp. said it will be open on Thanksgiving Day, from 6 p.m.to midnight, then will reopen at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

For the last two years, Best Buy closed its stores in the overnight hours.

Target has unveiled its Thanksgiving and Black Friday plans.

Toys R Us will open its doors at 5 p.m. on the holiday and remain open for 30 straight hours until 11 p.m. on Black Friday.

"We know that shopping Black Friday deals at Target is an annual tradition for many of our guests across the country", Janna Potts, executive vice president and chief stores officer, said.

Target says almost all of the in-store deals will be available on Target.com early on Thanksgiving morning.
