Guard Eric Bledsoe could soon find himself out of Phoenix and sporting a Bucks uniform.

Milwaukee sent center Greg Monroe, and a protected first- and second-round draft pick to the Suns for Eric Bledsoe, who averaged 21 points per game a year ago with the Suns.

Eric Bledsoe says it was time for him to move on from Phoenix Suns (read here): ESPN's Chris Haynes talked with new Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe on the contention that led to his exit from the Phoenix Suns and what he's looking forward to now that he's joining the Bucks.

Bledsoe averaged more than 20.0 points and 6.0 assists per game in each of the last two seasons with the Suns, including career highs in points (21.1) and assists (6.3) per game last season.

Bledsoe would join a Bucks backcourt with 2016 Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, Matthew Dellavedova and Jason Terry.

The Bucks, 4-5, will take on the Cavs in Cleveland tonight before heading to San Antonio for a matchup with the Spurs on Friday night.

Bledsoe has been away from the Suns for disciplinary reasons but Milwaukee had no issue with bringing him on board. Bledsoe spent the past five seasons in Phoenix after his first three years with the Clippers.

Monroe averaged 15.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for Detroit and Milwaukee from 2011-12 through 2015-16. With the trade, the Suns (4-7) now have three first-round picks in 2018. Monroe was attractive in large part because he is an expiring contract. The Suns will receive Milwaukee's second-round pick in 2018 if in the range of 48-60 overall.
