KGI analyst expects three iPhones next year, two with OLED

Some iPhone X displays have 'nasty green line' problems

It seems that the issue isn't limited to just one version of the iPhone X. Both the 64GB and 256GB versions have been affected and this is the same for both Silver and Space Grey devices.

Importantly, though, this won't really be a "backwards-looking" phone like this year's iPhone 8 and 8 Plus; instead, the LCD phone will adopt the iPhone X's basic form factor, sensor "notch" and all.

The iPhone X is the first iPhone from the Cupertino-based company to feature an OLED display.

Back in October, an iPhone X Plus concept render was already released by iDropNews, suggesting a 6.4-inch widescreen display with the same footprint as the original iPhone X. Meanwhile, it is also speculated that the iPhone X Plus could be one of the two iPhones to be released in 2018, sporting OLED screens.

In a tweet, Apple said people could "fix it by installing the latest software update".

Lastly, this is what Apple's 2018 iPhone lineup may look like.

There have also been complaints coming in from some iPhone X users living in the colder regions of the world. A person who's spent $1000 on a phone will surely not bother such an issue. According to the complaints, when used as a speakerphone at high volumes, the iPhone X earpiece speaker can buzz or crackle. And when some users proved the issue to them by playing some sound right at the Apple Store, they called it a software issue and told them to wait for the next update.

Several reports of the iPhone X issues with cold weather popped up on forums such as Reddit over the weekend, where some user reports were quite specific.

Our advice to prospective iPhone X buyers is simple: Get the screen guard along with the shell cover during purchase of the device. And while Face ID has proven secure in testing, it may not be as infallible as initially claimed. Apple has also introduced a new Face ID technology, which replaces the conventional Touch ID, which is found on the Apple iPhone 5S to Apple iPhone 8 Plus.
