PUBG to run at 60fps on Xbox One X

Bluehole

In a post to Twitter today, Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene, the game's creator, noted that PUBG will run at 30 frames-per-second across all Xbox One devices.

The game has been able to overtake titans of the industry such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 in concurrent player count, with millions of users playing at a time from all over the world.

Still, Greene said in his tweet that the team was "constantly refining the game & exploring options to increase FPS", so it may well get better in the future.

Greene, who is the PlayerUnknown from the game's title, had previously stated PUBG would run at a higher FPS on Xbox One X via the Xbox Game Preview service, and even stated as much in a magazine interview from the November 194 issue of Games. In regards to the whether the Xbox One version will get the same treatment, Green said, "we're not sure". Maybe we'll see these features end up in the regular versions.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will launch for Xbox Game Preview on December 12th, and is now in early access on PC, with a planned release date of late December. That's why we're doing Game Preview because I think the great thing about the console is it's a locked hardware system, so we can do really specific tweaks that tune it for those systems.

PlayerUnknown's Battleground, popularly known as PUBG, will arrive on the Xbox One soon. One of the biggest complaints you'll see in the Steam reviews is the games lack of optimization in some areas, even with high-end PC builds.

The mobile version of PUBG will launch in China first and so far no outlet is confirming that the game will launch in other parts of the world, but it will be insane not to capitalize on the PC game's wild popularity.
