U.S. presses Pakistan for 'decisive action against militants on its soil'

"India has been stockpiling a range of unsafe weapons and threatens Pakistan continuously of conventional warfare", TOI quoted him as saying.

Nasser Khan Janjua on Monday warned the stability of South Asia was hanging in a delicate balance and the possibility of a nuclear war can not be ruled out.

"The US accuses Pakistan of having ties with the Haqqani network and the Taliban when, in actuality, Pakistan only started facing terrorism when it aligned its forces with the US", Janjua said, adding that Pakistan had paid a heavy price in its fight against terrorism but the world never recognised its losses.

Hailing India as the "leading global power", President Trump's strategy stated it would support its leadership role in Indian Ocean security and throughout the broader region.

It added that U.S. will press Pakistan to intensify its counter-terrorism efforts, "since no partnership can survive a country's support for militants and terrorists who target a partner's own service members and officials".

Nasser also talked about Pakistan's relationship with India and how it has influenced the foreign policy of other nations in the sub-continent.

The almost United States dollars 50 billion CPEC, a flagship project ofChina's prestigious One Belt One Road (OBOR), passes throughPakistan administered Kashmir (PaK).

Pakistan on Monday accused the USA of "speaking India's language", and said the two nations have "the same ideas" regarding the Jammu and Kashmir conflict. It links China's restive Xinjiang region with Pakistan's southern Balochistan province.

The US in its strategy says, "We seek a Pakistan that is not engaged in destabilizing behavior and a stable and self-reliant Afghanistan".

Janjua had last month accused India of creating a "two-front situation" for Pakistan.

The security document stated that it would insist Pakistan to take decisive action against terrorist and intensify its counterterrorism efforts.

The US also wants to prevent "cross-border terrorism that raises the prospect of military and nuclear tensions", adds the document while pledging to prevent "nuclear weapons, technology, and materials from falling into the hands of terrorists". The National Security Advisor had that for "regional peace and stability, it is imperative for both the countries to engage with each and resolve their disputes". He said that the United States was following the India police on Kashmir dispute.
