After a successful year, Lady Gaga has confirmed she'll headline an ongoing show in Las Vegas. LOVE YOU LITTLE MONSTERS WE DID IT, MEET ME IN Las Vegas!", she added with a new hashtag: "#LasVegasGoesGaga.

Lady Gaga shares a toast with Bill Hornbuckle, President of MGM Resorts International, after signing a Vegas residency deal over the weekend.

Her residency will be at the MGM Park Theater, which has 5,3000 seats.

The singer's Las Vegas residency has been rumored for some time, and when asked about possibly doing a series of shows by hosts of local radio station Mix 94.1 FM in January, she replied, "I'm excited someday to do that".

"This is just the beginning of a new era!" she captioned an Instagram post celebrating the news. "Thank you to my fans for always believing in me". We have all been wowed by Lady Gaga's raw talent, but the passion, commitment and creativity she is prepared to bring to this engagement will truly be transformational... Both Spears and Lopez's shows have redefined Vegas entertainment: It was once seen as embarrassing or career-ending to book a residency there. Gaga is one of the biggest living forces in social media with more than 60 million likes on Facebook, over 75.3 million followers on Twitter and more than 26.9 million followers on Instagram. Those familiar with the terms of her agreement say the run launches in the fourth quarter of next year, running for one year, and might extend into 2019. Live Nation, which has promoted and produced all Gaga's tours, will do the same for this new show.

She also announced her rescheduled UK "Joanne" tour dates after cancelling due to illness.
