Asus ZenFone 4 starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo update

Motorola has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Moto X4 smartphone. The update is being rolled out to users in India. Also, after the update, you'll notice some important changes to the launcher. For your information, Nokia 8 in most of the markets had already received December Security update, so this is an extra software update. It also includes brings the December Android security patches.

Motorola has also promised to roll out the Oreo update to many other smartphones as well in early 2018. The update comes with the firmware version V15.0405.1711.76. It features a 5.2 inch full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.

The smartphone is available in two variants, one is 3GB RAM variant with 32GB inbuilt storage and another 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage.

On the camera front, it sports dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. The device sports a 12MP dual autofocus pixel sensor + 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor with 120-degree field of view. And Smart Text Selection improves copy and paste.

The selfie camera flaunts a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash paired with a low capacity 4MP sensor with support for an adaptive low-light mode. It is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable "all-day" battery, which when coupled with a 15W TurboPower charger (bundled in the box) will provide up to 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charge.

The instructions from Motorola say that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE.
