The Acer Chromebook 11 is a budget-friendly laptop. Acer

The new Acer Chromebook 11 CB311 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor the Braswell-powered Acer C731 and offers numerous familiar features while bringing some much-needed updates to the table.

In terms of difference, the 11.6-inch Chromebook sees the biggest change with a change in position of ports. As per a report, the new Acer ChromeBook 11 will be officially unwrapped at the venue of CES 2018. That said, other specifications and features of the Chromebook 11 includes two USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.2, 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, up to 32 GB of storage, and, up to 10 hours of battery life. But USB-C has remained rare in entry-level machines like the Chromebook 11. The company has promised more durability in the Chromebook 14 G5 and Chromebook 11 G6. Meanwhile, its CB311-8H counterpart will use the same LCD panel, but rely on the trackpad for control instead of touch. The 11.6-inch IPS display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and comes in touch and non-touch variants. The Chomebox G2 has a microSD card slot, a single HDMI port, a USB-C port, 3 USB 3.0 ports, and an Ethernet hookup. Hence, all most all Android apps are supported by this compact form of laptop. Customers can play games, stay productive, enjoy content and do even more with the new Acer Chromebook 11 thanks to its support of Google Play. The new Chromebook models can be of either 16GB or 32GB of storage with both models equipped with 4GB RAM.

The Acer Chromebook 11 CB311 will be available in North America in April with prices starting at US$249, and in EMEA in March with prices starting at €249. HP Chromebook 14 G5 will go on sale in February as well and the pricing remains a mystery.
