Warrington bomb victim's father pays tribute to Dolores O'Riordan

Dolores O'Riordan sings Just my Imagine to fans at Trusts Stadium in West Auckland in 2012.

Dolores led the Irish rock band to global success in the 1990s, releasing five albums before they took a break in 2003.

London police originally told the Associated Press that a woman in her 40s was found dead at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane, and said the death was being treated as "unexplained".

Her case will now be passed to a coroner who will determine the cause of death.

Ms Sexton said it was important for her to record her sadness. After the band released their 2001 album Wake Up and Smell the Roses, they would go on hiatus, allowing O'Riordan to embark on a solo career in 2007. Brodbeck won a Juno Award for recording engineer of the year for his work on the songs "Apple of My Eye" and "Be Careful" off the 2009 album.

With her passing, O'Riordan left behind four children: 20-year-old Taylor, 12-year-old Dakota, 16-year-old Molly and 9-year-old Donnie.

Dolores O'Riordan died the day before re-recording the band's classic 1994 hit - but why was the song so important?

"It was 100 per cent based on personalities clicking", he said on Tuesday, as he remembered his friendship with the Irish singer. "Our thoughts go out to her family at this bad time", wrote Duran Duran on Twitter.

We were so shocked and so sad to hear the news that Dolores O'Riordan, lead singer of The Cranberries, died suddenly at the age of 46 on Monday morning.

Ireland's President Michael D. Higgins said O'Riordan and The Cranberries "had an enormous influence on rock and pop music in Ireland and internationally". Bono yelled "Linger" at the end of "A Rainy Night in Soho", referencing the Cranberries' hit song, according to the Blast.

She hit the headlines in 2014 after pleading guilty to assaulting three police officers and a flight attendant during a flight from NY to Ireland, and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder shortly afterwards.

Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar in a statement described her as the "voice of her generation".

"She was very shy, very quiet, hadn't much confidence", she said.

The message said: "She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to been part of her life from 1989". "I was talking to her a couple weeks before Christmas she seemed happy and well - we even spoke about maybe writing some songs together - unbelievable god bless her (sic)". A month ago O'Riordan told fans she was "feeling good" after the band canceled their planned fall 2017 tour due to the singer's ongoing recovery from back issues.

O'Riordan was born Sept 6, 1971, and grew up in the Ballybricken area of County Limerick.
