Someone Broke Into Gronk's Home While He Was At The Super Bowl

Home of Patriots' Rob Gronkowski was robbed while he was away for the Super Bowl police say

Following a devastating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 52, local police issued a statement on Tuesday that they were investigating a recent break-in to a house that belongs to Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski didn't figure out about the burglary happened until he arrived home on Monday evening, before calling the police to report it at 6:18 p.m. ET, Yahoo News reported.

A dispatcher instructed officers to respond to Congdon Circle to talk to the homeowner, who reported "multiple safes and possible guns taken", according to a police dispatch.

As if losing the Super Bowl wasn't bad enough, Rob Gronkowski had to deal with another setback this week, and this one came less than 24 hours after the Patriots' 41-33 loss to the Eagles.

According to the Boston Globe, Gronkowski's home was robbed while he was in Minneapolis for the Super Bowl.

None of Gronkowski's personal belongings were stolen but his roommates reported that hundreds of dollars worth of items were taken. "You never see that gate ajar".

Gronk then called the Foxborough police department and the audio of his 911 call was released to the public.

"Being a victim of a residential property crime like that is unpleasant", he said.

He said police will not release any information about what was stolen or possible suspects "as this case moves forward".

Sadly, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was in for another disappointment when he returned to his home outside Boston the following Monday. "And I just got back".

The New England Patriots star got home from defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles to discover he had been raided - United States newspaper the Boston Globe has claimed firearms were missing.

Gronkowski is still under contract through the 2019 season, as he still has two years left on his six-year, $54 million extension with $19 million left in both base salary and bonuses.
