Queen Elizabeth Attends Richard Quinn Show at London Fashion Week

5 of the biggest street style trends we've seen at London Fashion Week

She accessorized with black gloves.

The show didn't exactly match her ladylike look, though: The designer, Richard Quinn, sent models down the runway in neon prints from London's Liberty department store (where the show was held), parachute-shaped frocks, floor-length puffer coats, scarf-print handbags and printed face masks. "I would like to thank the British Fashion Council for selecting the first victor: Richard Quinn".

A Swarovski-studded Queen Elizabeth II graced the front row of London Fashion Week, brushing shoulders with longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour, during a surprise visit to the event on Tuesday. The 31-year-old started his own label in 2016 and has made a name for himself on the fashion circuit after graduating from Central Saint Martins with his masters the same year.

A number of designers and fashion executives at the event paid tribute to the Queen herself, who was dressed in a powder blue Angela Kelly suit. Wintour donned her signature sunglasses. Chosen as NEWGEN's One-to-Watch, this marks Quinn's first-ever fashion show on the official London Fashion Week calendar. The Richard Quinn show reunited Queen Elizabeth with Wintour, who met with the monarch in May 2017.

In addition to attending Quinn's show, Her Majesty also presented the young creative with The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.

"Richard Quinn created a print studio, which offers accessible services to students and his peer group of emerging designers".

The award was designed by Kelly, the woman who has crafted the Queen's style for the past 26 years.

The trend is also backed by the growing number of co-ed shows taking place during the womenswear fashion weeks of New York, London, Paris and Milan, with JW Anderson the latest big name designer to adopt the model in the United Kingdom capital this season.
