Iran calls on US, Europe to scrap nuclear arms, missiles

Israeli F-16 fighter jet crashes under Syrian anti-aircraft fire amid IDF cross-border raid

US demands to limit Iran's ballistic missile program are, however, an unreachable goal portraying Washington's failures in the region.

European governments have been scrambling to appease Trump and keep the deal intact, and have voiced increasing concern over Iran´s missile programme.

"Iran is an independent country and can defend itself in any way it sees fit whether with missiles or any other defensive means", Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on worldwide affairs, told reporters in Tehran on Saturday.

"Iran's defence programme is not the concern of other countries such as France, that they should come and tell us what missiles we can have. It is the Islamic republic who would decide on the type of missile it can possess", Velayati said.

"If Le Drian's visit is aimed at reinforcing our relations, he would do well to avoid negative positions", Velayati added.

Browns Shouldn't Take Saquon Barkley With #1 Pick
Not even the Browns are inept enough to pass on him, right? And that wasn't even Barkley's first impressive feat of the day. Saquon then put his speed on display by running a blistering 4.40 secs in the 40-yard dash, per NFL .com.

Recently, the United Kingdom drafted a UN Security Council resolution condemning Iran for violating the arms embargo on Yemen and calling for measures to address this alleged violation.

Iran will not conduct talks on its ballistic missile program until the USA and European countries dismantle their nuclear weapon arsenal, said an Iranian military official on Saturday.

The Saturday report quotes armed forces spokesman Gen.Masoud Jazayeri as saying "The precondition for negotiation over Iran's missiles is the dismantling of the US and Europe's nuclear weapons and long-range missiles".

A display featuring missiles and a portrait of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is seen at Baharestan Square in Tehran, Iran on September 27, 2017.

Macron claimed that the surveillance was "indispensable for the security of the region and so we need a mechanism of sanctions and control adapted to that".
