Here's What Mark Cuban Was Accused Of Doing Back In 2011

TUCSON AZ – MARCH 03 Deandre Ayton

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was reportedly investigated by OR cops in 2011 after a woman claimed he sexually assaulted her in a bar.

The woman claims that, while the two posed for a photograph together, Cuban thrust his hand down the back of her trousers, and penetrated her vagina with his finger. However, the Multnomah County District Attorney's never pressed charges, citing insufficient evidence.

A week later, the alleged victim filed a complaint with the local police, which led to an investigation.

"A$3 round 2 am, the woman said, she and her friend went to pay their tab and encountered Cuban, who was standing by himself.

The complainant requested documentation and investigation of her complaint but has confirmed with me she will not participate in a criminal prosecution and agrees her claim can not be proven".

The report also said the woman didn't want to proceed with the allegation. "I stand behind that report 1,000 percent". Meanwhile, Cuban flatly denied the allegation, telling the Associated Press on Tuesday: "It didn't happen". Thugh his accuser stands by her claims years later, Cuban denies anything happened.

A late-February Sports Illustrated report documented the Dallas Mavericks' workplace culture, which was allegedly rife with sexual misconduct. "According to the detailed prosecution decline memo, investigators interviewed the complainant's boyfriend and female friend, as well as employees and patrons of the bar, and other persons with Mr". None said they witnessed an assault.

A detective in the case described two of the photos as "significant" in his report, according to Willamette Week. "In one of the pictures, his arm can be seen behind [the alleged victim] and it appears Cuban is reaching down toward her buttocks". The detective also noted that the woman's "teeth are clenched, eyes wider than the other pictures and brow raised showing a look of surprise and strain".

Cuban, who bought the Mavericks back in 2000 and is one of the country's richest men, was accused of sexual assault back in April of 2011 after an alleged incident that took place at a venue called the Barrel Room in Portland, Oregon.
