Wind Advisory In Effect For Most Of State Until Tuesday Evening

Some wind will persist today but nothing like we saw over the last few days and it will be followed by a mix of rain and snow by Tuesday

According to the NWS, a High Wind Warning is issued when "a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring".

Saturday A 20 percent chance of rain before noon. However, a high of 53 degrees will prevent any snow accumulation.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 11 a.m. High: 62. Wind: N 5-10 miles per hour.

It was a windy weekend in Morgan County and the National Weather Service says the windy conditions will get worse before subsiding Tuesday night.

Expect moderate snow showers combined with high winds gusting to 55 miles per hour to greatly reduce visibility. Wind gusts could reach 25 miles per hour.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Cloudy with snow tapering to snow showers.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Sunday's rain possibility continues, with a high near 66.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 30's. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 65.

More sunshine is in store for Tuesday and temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s.

There is a chance for rain Saturday in central Oklahoma. Light accumulations overnight. East winds increasing to 10 to 15 miles per hour with gusts 25 to 30 miles per hour. This will keep snow, heavy at times in the forecast for Wednesday and snow showers for Thursday. North winds 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 63.

Watch out for extremely high fire danger with gusty winds, dry conditions and low humidity.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27.

Monday, it will be sunny with a high near 48, the weather service said.
