How Manchester United Will STOP David De Gea From Leaving

David De Gea has been United's best player so far

David De Gea is still waiting for the offer of a new contract from Manchester United, according to reports.

The Spain worldwide is keen to commit his future to United, and the club agree that De Gea should be paid much more handsomely given that he has been chosen as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League in four of the past five seasons.

The Spaniard's current deal expires in 18 months time, and there are still some lingering worries that the 27-year-old might be tempted to jump ship despite insisting recently that he is very happy at the club.

Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois have also been linked with a move to Madrid. The Spain worldwide has less than 16 months remaining on his current deal and is once again the subject of interest from hometown club Real Madrid.

It is unclear where United, Real and De Gea go from here but it will most likely lead to the 26-year-old being handed a bumper new deal to keep him in Manchester, despite Real's continued interest.

This season as well, De Gea has been a rock at the back and has shown his pedigree to make world-class saves with both hands and feet, boasting a record of 15 shutouts in 29 Premier League appearances thus far.

"A goalkeeper like he is, and obviously a club that wants to be better and better and better, we are not going to let that year option go away". Mr Woodward is not on holiday. Anyone of you would say the same: "David is to keep".
