WWE star Jeff Hardy charged with DWI in Cabarrus County

WWE Ultimate Deletion update

According to Wrestling Inc, Hardy struck a guardrail around 8 p.m. on March 10, causing his vehicle to spin out into the middle of the road.

Hardy, along with his brother, Matt, have been multiple championship-winning professional wrestlers since the 1990's.

Hardy was arrested on Saturday night in Concord, North Carolina on a DWI charge after blowing a.25 on a breathalyzer test and crashing his auto into a guardrail.

According to the police report filed with Concord Police, Hardy was driving northbound on Concord Parkway Saturday when he allegedly ran off the road and struck a guard rail. The VIN listed on the police report is registered to a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. He reportedly blew a.25 on a breathalyzer test.

Hardy, who once pleaded guilty after a 2009 arrest on drug charges, is now out on bail, and he is scheduled for a court date on April 16. Hardy was scheduled to return to in-ring action soon after being cleared by a surgeon, but was awaiting the go-ahead from WWE.

Hardy, a famous tag-team wrestler, has been out of the ring since September a year ago.

Hardy has a history of legal troubles in North Carolina, including time in jail stemming from a 2009 cocaine and prescription pill arrest.

Hardy was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after officials investigated the reason for the crash.

Cops estimate he damaged around $5,000 of state property, he's due back in court in April.
