Apple to host 29th Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose

New iPad Pro and affordable 9.7-inch iPad coming this year

Apple has announced the WWDC 2018 dates, its annual Worldwide Developer Conference at which we're expecting to see the next versions of iOS and macOS. However, Apple hasn't been shy about teasing new hardware at the event too, even with its software focus.

Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members can now register to buy tickets by March 22nd through the WWDC website. As has been the case in past years, tickets will be issued through a random selection process due to the simple fact that Apple can't accommodate every request.

Apple held its annual event at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from 2003 through 2016. Other attendees will have to pay $1,599 per ticket, the same as a ticket was to last year's WWDC.

Students are an integral part of the Apple developer community. While not many details have been given surrounding the new software, we did hear a little while ago Apple plans to refine the experience of using iOS 12 while also offering cross-platform compatibility between iOS and macOS.

As with previous years, demand for tickets to WWDC 2018 is expected to outstrip just how many Apple has to offer. For this year, Apple is working on new augmented-reality features for iPhones and iPads, a tool for parents to monitor their kids' device usage, new Animojis, an improved version of Do Not Disturb, an updated stock tracking app, and deeper Siri integration, people familiar with the matter have told Bloomberg.
