Epic Games Explains Why Fortnite Doesn't Have Friendly Fire

Fortnite

Tyler Ninja Blevins hooked up with Drake to beat a record recently.

At some point most gamers have probably heard someone (normally a parent) say that you can't make a living playing video games.

Though Epic borrowed the concept of parachuting onto an island and competing against a large number of other players from PUBG, the developer has a few key advantages over its PC-focused rival. With this being the case, Fortnite fans should set a little bit of storage space aside for the replay footage dedicated to their coveted Victory Royales.

Fortnite hasn't been without its controversies, most notably that it directly copied PUBG.

Fortnite, the cross-platform shooter game, has gone from strength-to-strength in March 2018, what with Drake and Travis Scott playing it on Twitch and then the game debuting on iOS, and now its success is even noticeable on Pornhub.

"I'm very goofy. I do impressions, and just insane shenanigans". "Seeing a top gamer and musician come together on Twitch and unite their large and passionate communities is a cultural moment in terms of building awareness around the appeal of social video and it's only going to grow from here", Kate Jhaveri, Twitch's senior vice president for marketing, said in a statement.

According to CNBC, Blevins revealed that most of his insane monthly income comes from his 3.7 million Twitch followers.

"I think I offer high-tier gameplay they can't get with a lot of other content creators", Ninja said when asked about his appeal.

These "battle royale mobile games" are one big battleground where around 100 players fight to the death. "I think the combination of that [game skill and entertainment] is really fun to watch".

Blevins talked a bit about why Fortnite is so popular, and that popularity is certainly key to his financial windfall. The game launched with friendly fire active, but players reported they were being killed by their own teammates for items.

Blevins also had some advice for gamers looking to follow in his footsteps. However, Android users got left behind until future notice.
