Three Avengers-Themed Areas Are Coming to Disneyland Parks Around the Globe

Three Disney parks are getting a Marvel makeover with new super-hero attractions by 2020

A sneak peek video was released on the blog on Tuesday. Today, they announced that they will soon have new experiences at Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.

The Marvel attractions are just latest project in a flurry of construction at Disney parks.

The Marvel area at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, will be centered around Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, which opened a year ago, in the nearby space occupied by "It's Tough to Be a Bug", which closed Monday.

Disney acquired Marvel in 2009 and has been adding Marvel-themed attractions to some of its parks since.

Over in Paris, there'll be a new Marvel-themed area that'll include a ride with Iron Man and the Avengers, which follows the news from February that Disneyland Paris" Rock "n' Roller Coaster will be "reimagined as a high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure", in addition to a Marvel-themed hotel called Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, also arriving 2020. That attraction is joining the Iron Man Experience, which opened past year and is already the most popular at the resort, according to Disney.

The Avengers attractions will take over "A Bug's Land", which is based on Pixar's "A Bug's Life" movie. The new experiences, which will start popping up in 2020, will include the likes of the Avengers, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp among others.

California's Disneyland isn't the only park to be getting the Avengers treatment.

Hong Kong Disneyland's expansion will take also course over multiple years.

Things will get a little smaller for Hong Kong Disneyland in a new themed area that will have guests team up with Ant-Man and the Wasp. Additionally, the park will get a new live-action show. If you're a Marvel fan who's excited for what Disney's Imagineers can do with those characters, you'll have to make way to California, France or Hong Kong to experience it.
