'Black Panther' Sinks 'Titanic' To Become Third-Biggest Domestic Movie In History

Black Panther to become the first movie to release in a theater, after 35 years, in Saudi Arabia!

The film held onto the spot until it was surpassed by Cameron's next blockbuster film "Avatar" ($760.5m) and both were eventually passed by Disney's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ($936.6m), which still now holds the number one spot in the U.S. Well there is a new cat in town and the king of Wakanda just sank "Titanic". And the Internet seems to agree.

"Titanic" previously held the No. 3 spot on the best grossing movies list.

"Black Panther", which stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o is the 18th film in the superhero movie franchise dubbed the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Overall, Black Panther has so far grossed over $1.3 billion at the worldwide box and remains Marvel's highest domestic-grossing film ever. The company has plans to open 40 cinemas in more than 12 cities across Saudi Arabia over the next five years and we're guessing the 32 million people who live there will be lining up to see King T'Challah in all his glory.

"Black Panther" would have to disappear from theaters to not overtake it Saturday.

It's going to take a lot for Black Panther to beat out Avatar, which, according to Box Office Mojo, has $760 million, just shy of $100 million more than its rival, and it doesn't look like Black Panther could beat The Force Awakens's almost $937 million, though that depends on how long Marvel will keep it in theaters.

Black Panther is in theaters now, while Avengers: Infinity War hits the big screen April 27.
