Coachella is just around the corner - kicking off this weekend to be exact - and YouTube has confirmed that the platform will be live streaming the event for the eighth consecutive year.

The Australian stream is presented by Optus, and only covers the first weekend April 13-15. The Youtube stream will include performances from Beyoncé, The Weeknd, ODESZA, Post Malone, The War on Drugs, Kygo, Chromeo, Alan Walker, alt-J and others.

Australian acts scheduled are Alison Wonderland, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and Vance Joy.

Bahrain GP: Raikkonen top as Hamilton struggles
After the first segment of qualification in full force left the "Williams" and "Zauber" and "Haas" suddenly lost Romain Grosjean. But he has been helped by a mistake by Max Verstappen , who crashed his Red Bull in first qualifying and will start 15th.

Coachella is one of the biggest musical festivals each year, making it nearly impossible to get tickets. So if you are not heading to the desert, head over to YouTube and check out some of your favorite artists this weekend!

Google Home is also partnering with Coachella to offer an exclusive experience to fans, where they can talk to Google Home, saying, "Hey Google, talk to Coachella", to access trivia, music from performers, interviews, and general festival information like set times and travel instructions. You're not alone - there are plenty of people around the globe that won't get to bear witness to Beyoncé's long-awaited Coachella performance. Pixel 2 will show unique artist portraits from "influential photographers".

Verified lineup artists will be able to post updates and information on performances and livestreams to fans directly in Google search through a recently launched integration that allows artists to customize content.
