Alfie's father thanks staff and pledges to 'form a relationship' with hospital

Alfie, who suffers from a degenerative neurological condition, had his life support withdrawn on Monday after his parents lost every legal challenge to a High Court ruling in February.

The parents of Alfie Evans plan to meet with his doctors on Thursday to discuss bringing the terminally ill boy home.

LISTED: The Sheffield criminals serving the longest sentences ever handed out in the cityHis parents, who are both in their early twenties and from Liverpool, say life-support treatment should continue to be provided to their 23-month-old son.

The little boy, who is nearly two-years-old, has been legally prevented from travelling overseas for medical treatment after life support was withdrawn at Alder Hey Hospital on Monday.

The latest attempt to allow Alfie to be transported to the Vatican-linked Bambino Gesu Hospital in Rome was rejected by the Court of Appeal on Wednesday.

Alfie's father Tom Evans said Alfie continued to survive with no assistance, and that doctors had subsequently resumed providing oxygen and hydration. The news report came out after Tom Evans told the media that he would be working with Alder Hey Children's Hospital in an attempt to fix the relationship so Alfie can go home.

Evans said that if he was not allowed to take Alfie home, he would resume his fight in court.

Donna's (Sarah Rafferty) meticulous planning resulted in a gorgeous altar adorned with hanging flowers, but the altar at St. Prince Harry's former holiday "home" is offering visitors the chance to celebrate his big day with them.

Lord Justice McFarlane said parents, like those of Alfie Evans, could be vulnerable to receiving bad medical advice, adding that there was evidence that the parents made decisions based on incorrect guidance. "Remember it is not good enough, in law or in conscience, to say that you simply followed orders". We could take it further but would that be the right thing to do, would there be more criticism?

However three Court of Appeal judges dismissed a challenge to a High Court decision made on Tuesday that he should not be taken overseas.

Alfie's parents Tom Evans and Kate James have repeatedly urged people not to threaten anyone over the tragic plight of their son because it was damaging their campaign.

"True to that legacy, the Pope spoke out in defense of Alfie Evans and the fundamental human rights of his parents to do all they can to save the life of their child". The Liverpool hospital has faced several protests in recent weeks, organized by a group calling itself "Alfie's Army".

Poland's President Andrzej Duda tweeted on Wednesday that "Alfie Evans must be saved".

Alder Hey hospital chairman David Henshaw and chief executive Louise Shepherd issued an open letter defending the staff from a "barrage" of abuse.

Merseyside Police is investigating claims patients and staff were intimidated.
