First lady unveils "Be Best" campaign to address issues facing children

Melania responds to critics

The first lady is not known for tactile public displays with her husband, but the couple walked back into the White House holding hands.

During that meeting, the first lady appeared to indirectly address the elephant in the room: her husband's frequent use of name-calling in his tweets. Twenty-seven percent of people interviewed had an unfavorable opinion of her.

More than 15 months after becoming first lady, Melania Trump will be unveiling her formal platform focusing on the "overall well-being of children". As for what the first lady thinks about reports of his alleged affairs and sexual misconduct with multiple women during their 13-year marriage, Grisham said she is "focused on being a mom".

The poll surveyed 1,015 people by phone. After she has traveled the nation and come into contact with a number of issues plaguing children, it's no surprise that the first lady's initiative is multipronged.

Variety has already been the approach in recent months; Trump's public events have touched on everything from helping children combat negativity, to dealing with the effects of opioid abuse on newborns and being nice while using social media.

The president signed a "Be Best" proclamation after his wife's speech, and praised her for her "compassion".

Trump has visited children's hospitals, both here and overseas, and she has also visited schools, including one in MI last October, where she encouraged middle schoolers to practice understanding and self-confidence.

"I feel strongly that as adults, we can and should "be best" at educating our children about the importance of a healthy and balanced life", Mrs. Trump said.

In response, viewers commented on the feed, writing, "Teach your husband first about right and wrong!" and "Her husband is a bully!" She did not live in the White House for the first five months of the administration to avoid having their son, Barron, now 12, change schools during the year. Named White House officials denied the rumor to the Post on the record.

Cabinet members such as Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar are expected to help the first lady in the rollout of her platform.

We know first-hand that censorship against conservative news is real.

Mrs. Trump took a little more time to pull her initiative together. That's not to say she won't thrive in the face of adversity.

Chris Ruddy, chief executive of the conservative Newsmax Media and a close friend of Donald Trump, told The Guardian: "It was a home run for her and the president". We see her regularly. "Behind the scenes she's very influential with him and you're now seeing the outward manifestations".
