Donald Trump 'somewhat embarrassed' by Russia investigation, chief of staff says

President Donald Trump is "somewhat embarrassed" by special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, White House chief of staff John Kelly says. But he later clarified that the president is "distracted".

The comments could further raise tensions between Mr Trump and Mr Kelly, whose attempt to bring order to the White House and authoritative tone are said to have grated on the president.

'It may not be a cloud but certainly the president is, you know, somewhat embarrassed, frankly, ' Kelly told the public radio network.

The news outlet also spoke with the chief of staff about the administration's stance on immigration. They're overwhelmingly rural people, ' said the Boston-born Kelly. "They're not criminals. They're not MS13", Kelly said while discussing the Department of Justice's new "zero-tolerance" strategy in an interview on NPR's "Morning Edition".

"They don't speak English".

Ferguson moved out of intensive care
A Manchester United spokesperson said: "Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient". He said the team has a positive relationship with Ferguson, and wouldn't be negatively effected by his health worries.

Kelly, also told NPR that, despite "times of great frustration", he doesn't regret leaving his former post as secretary of homeland security and joining the White House.

He did not name his predecessor, Reince Priebus, but said he wishes he had been in the role sooner. I mean they, they seldom wrote or did the story you wanted to read, naturally, but they were really professional in trying to get the accurate aspect of every story", Kelly recounted, adding "it wasn't personal.

One particular former government official told the AP that Kelly individually termed Trump "a idiot" a year ago, which Kelly refused as "complete BS". The Department of Homeland Security has also ended TPS for almost 200,000 Salvadorans, 50,000 Haitians, and 9,000 Nepalis, according to the Washington Post. The New York Times reported that she had drafted but not submitted a resignation letter after Trump lambasted her at a meeting for failing, in his view, to secure USA borders.

Trump has pursued his crackdown on legal and illegal immigration since becoming president, promising to strengthen the nation's borders and to build a wall along the U.S. -Mexico border.

The DHS denied the claim.
