Man, 30, ordered by court to leave parents' home

Parents in US sue 30-year-old son as he refuses to move out of their house

State Supreme Court Justice Donald Greenwood ruled Tuesday that Michael Rotondo must leave his parents' home in Camillus in upstate NY, reported TV station WSTM.

"Michael, here is $1100 from us to you so you can find a place to stay", a letter from February 18 starts. He's lived at home for the past eight years.

Gutfeld said Rotondo is an example of someone "thinking everything should be free". Then they wrote him a letter and offered him $1,100, all to no avail.

In court, Rotondo noted that his parents did not support him by providing food or doing his laundry.

Judge Donald Greenwood ordered Michael Rotondo to vacate his childhood bedroom in his central NY parents' home, in a case that has attracted global attention.

Soon after, the parents sent another note which read: "Michael Joseph Rontodo, you are hereby evicted".

"I was an excellent father", Rotondo told Business Insider, adding that he would take his child fishing and had foregone buying clothes for himself so he could take his child skiing.

He said: "I would consider much of what they were doing to try to get me out as attacks, and what I was just, you know, trying to preserve - well, trying to do what's best for me, which is trying to be a little more reasonable".

An article by Syracuse that the only way to have Michael removed from the family home was for the Rotondos to file an ejectment proceeding.

A 30-year-old NY man is packing his bags and leaving his parent's home - because a judge said so. You will not be allowed to return.

Justice Donald Greenwood told the son his bid to remain in his parents' home another six months was "outrageous". In the second-to-last letter, on March 5, the parents warned they would take actions to make sure he left the home.

Matters only became further complicated when Rotondo's own parents, Mark and Christina soon after insisted that Rotondo needed to get a job and health insurance (do you suppose?) if he planned on living with them.

"I'm not a burden to them at the home".

"So I'm expecting something like that. Get one- you have to work!"

Another reporter asked Rotondo if he has a Web business.
