Duchess of Sussex experiences first Trooping the Colour parade

Her Majesty travels by carriage from Buckingham Palace to the Horse Guards Parade across St. James's Park to inspect her personal troops - and the Royal Family always comes out in full force to help her celebrate.

As she stood in front of Kate Middleton and Prince William waving, the little royal appeared to stumble backwards - as if she fell off a small step she was standing on.

In attendance included Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as the newlyweds, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He joined the other royal colonels riding behind the Queen's Ascot Landau carriage, Charles who is Colonel of the Welsh Guards, Anne, Colonel of the Blues and Royals, and William, Colonel of the Irish Guards.

The day's proceedings closed with an RAF flypast, which was watched by members of the royal family from Buckingham Palace's balcony.

Matching their mother's color scheme, Charlotte wore a patterned blue dress along with a red bow in her hair.

This is the first time the royal family were joined by the new Duchess of Sussex. She wore this one to the Queen's second birthday which was held today.

Prince Philip, the Queen's husband, did not attend, having retired from public life a year ago.

The Queen received a rousing cheer from the crowds in the Mall as her procession went past.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Duchess of Sussex attend the Trooping the Color ceremony in London, June 9, 2018. That Meghan is undertaking such a trip less than a month after marriage says a lot about how the family wants to make sure she's comfortable in her duties, and that the world knows that she is now an important full-time royal.
