Mexico's FIFA World Cup goal that led its team to an upset win over Germany on Sunday triggered so much excitement that it may have caused what officials called an "artificial earthquake" in Mexico City.

He puts 29-year-old winger in the same bracket as Brazil team-mate Neymar, the world's most expensive player after his £200m move to Paris St-Germain last year.

Switzerland have lost only one out of 12 competitive matches since Euro 2016 - a World Cup qualifier away to Portugal.

Asked how he was sleeping ahead of their games, Tite said: "I manage my ghosts and angst".

Germany had more strikes at goal and perhaps a lot more possession but it was the North American side that had the better of the glaring chances including what looked like a legitimate penalty disallowed. Neymar is back and Tite's team is looking to bring home the country's sixth World Cup, with the team having all the pieces needed to do so.

Germany forward Thomas Muller says there is a special motivation to defend the World Cup title.

After Switzerland, the Brazilians will take on Serbia and Costa Rica in Group E.

The magnitude of that task is not lost on Low.

Of course, the big characters in the squad and the more experienced heads - Marcelo, Miranda, Fernandinho - mean the team is not short of leaders but none of them have been officially made the team's full-time captain.

With the United States not in the World Cup, many brands and some former American soccer players pointed to Mexico as the team to root for in Russian Federation this month.

"Nevertheless, we can compete with them". Indeed, in 18 appearances at FIFA World Cups, the 2014 winners had only ever suffered one opening day defeat: against Algeria in 1982. "The ball didn't go in the goal, and sometimes they were a bit too quick in finishing, did not take their time, did not keep their cool".

Russian authorities said it was an accident.

"It's so surprising", taxi driver Juan Rodrigo Guadarrama tells the New York Times.

The driver said he ran from the scene because he feared he would be beaten to death.

The incident occurred about 200 metres (yards) from Red Square, which was packed with foreign football fans snapping pictures of the Kremlin on a warm and sunny afternoon.
