Prince Louis to be christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury next month

Kate middleton news

"Obviously events such as Meghan and Harry's wedding and Trooping the Colour were exceptions and Louis is expected to be christened in the summer".

On Saturday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted at Celia McCorquodale and George Woodhouse's nuptials.

Prince Louis will be seen in public for the first time since his birth, and just like his big brother Prince George, he'll be baptized at The Chapel Royal at St James's Palace in London.

"Judging by the previous christenings, and the importance of the day for the family, Louis' christening will be a private affair, perhaps no surprise there".

Prince Louis will be seen for the first time since his Lindo Wing photo op next month, when he's christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Most Reverend Justin Welby on July 9.

The news was confirmed on Wednesday by Kensington Palace on Twitter, adding the christening will take place at The Chapel Royal in St James's Palace in London. It also doesn't hurt that soccer fanatic William won't have to miss a World Cup game, as that's one of the days the players get to enjoy a much-deserved rest! His parents Princess Diana of Wales and Prince Charles kept the young Duke polished as a child - as you would expect for a boy who was set to someday inherit the thrown.

"The facility will be a 21st Century successor to the current DNRC official centre at Headley Court, which has always been supported by The Royal Family".

It is a replica of a christening gown made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter in 1841 and used for generations of royal babies until it wore out.

Kate Middleton and Prince William's third child will be christened next month, Kensington Palace announced in a statement.

According to BBC News, guests at the christening will be served a slice of William and Kate's wedding cake, a fruit cake designed by Fiona Cairns.
