Kit Harington, Rose Leslie Get Married in Scotland

Grand wedding venue Members of the close-knit Leslie clan were sweeping up outside sprawling Wardhill Castle clearing the entrance to the show-business wedding of the year

Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie - who played on-screen lovers in the TV drama - are to marry in Scotland.

That's right - she's a descendant of King Charles II. and her family owns a castle. Harington and Leslie jumped into their old vintage vehicle to continue the celebration at the bride's family estate Wardhill Castle for their reception with their 200 guests.

Guests included Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Emilia Clarke (all of "Game of Thrones") and Jack Donnelly & Malin Akerman.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie met in 2012 while shooting Thrones, and their characters, Jon Snow and Ygritte, had a romance on the show.

Rose's father, Sebastian Leslie, gave his handsome daughter away and told reporters outside the church that he couldn't have hoped for a better day.

The 23 June date was posted at the Huntly registration office last month.

"If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love". It's a great day for Aberdeenshire.

The engagement was announced last September. "We are using local caterers, local lighting, local flowers", he said.

According to the Daily Mail, the remote 12th-century castle venue is located on a breathtaking property and is the home of the Leslie Clan, whose chief is the Honorable Alexander Leslie, the actress' father.
