Official photos released by Royal Family to mark Prince Louis christening

Kate Middleton

Kensington Palace has shared a brand new photo of the Duchess of Cambridge with baby Prince Louis, and the adorable snap shows the baby boy laughing in delight while in his mother's arms!

Holyoak said in a statement, "I was truly honored at being asked to take the official photographs at the christening of Prince Louis, and to witness at first hand such a happy event".

In the most intimate picture, the Duchess of Cambridge poses with Prince Louis in the gardens of Clarence House.

Kate's family - including Carole and Michael Middleton, James Middleton, Pippa Middleton and her husband, James Matthews - also appear in the photos, as do Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

And these breathtaking new images prove the flawless prince has completed the Cambridge clan. "The Duke and Duchess hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do". The hymns are "O Jesus, I Have Promised" and "Lord of All Hopefulness" while the anthems were John Rutter's "This is the day which the Lord hath made" and Gareth Wilson's Welsh lullaby, "Suo Gân".

The baby, born April 23, wore a cream, frilly lace royal christening gown, a replica of the 1841 original worn by Queen Victoria's eldest daughter.

Also in attendance were both William's father, Charles, the prince of Wales and stepmother Camilla, the duchess of Cornwall.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby welcomed the royals at the entrance to the chapel.

After Prince Louis' christening at the chapel at St James' Palace on Monday, 9 July Kensington Palace has released a attractive new set of snaps of the tot and his family.

The royal couple also named six close friends and family members to be godparents to Prince Louis.
