Cubs give boy signed baseball after social media outrage

Two Cubs fans are getting a lot of slack after taking a ball that was thrown to a kid

The clip soon went viral, with sports site Cut4 tweeting: 'When going to a baseball game, DON'T be this guy'.

Luckily, the story has a happy ending because the Cubs saw what happened and had a signed baseball delivered to the child.

The internet's opinion on the man is probably already set in stone, and it's definitely fair to question him for turning and presenting the ball like it was a rare gem.

On a foul ball hit on the first-base side during Sunday's contest against the Cardinals, Cubs first-base coach Will Venable picked up the baseball and tossed it to to a young boy sitting in the front row with his mother. The guy behind him jumped on the opportunity, grabbed the ball and handed it over to his wife. "A @javy23baez signed ball should take care of it", the team wrote on Twitter.

Trump hails summit with Putin "a very good start"
Sen. "[The] posture of President Trump on Crimea is well known, and he stands firmly by it". You got me, '" said Trump, invoking a television detective.

UPDATE: David Kaplan of ESPN 1000 in Chicago is reporting that the fan who took the ball away from the child, had actually helped give the child a ball earlier in the game.

He tweeted: 'I spoke with people from the Cubs. "All is well. Guy is A-OK so let it go people", Kaplan said. "The fans in his section left the game giddy with excitement from a great game, most of all our son who had one of the best day of his life".

You may have noticed that the kid has two baseballs.

Chicago Cubs officials confirmed the man had been generous during the match.
