Skywatchers looking forward to complete lunar eclipse

"This total lunar eclipse will be primarily visible from the world's Eastern Hemisphere, which are Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand".

If you're in North America and want to watch the lunar eclipse, you still can.

#08:30 PM: Lunar Eclipse 2018: Is it safe to watch with naked eyes?: Unlike a solar eclipse, the total lunar eclipse or Chandra Grahan is safe to watch with naked eyes.

In a statement by the agency's head of media and corporate communications, Dr. Felix Ale, the eclipse was expected to reach its peak around 9:21pm and wane from then until it ended around 12:30am of Saturday (today).

Meanwhile, Mars is now traveling closer to Earth than it has since 2003, so some observers overnight might have also seen what looked like an orange-red star, but was in fact the red planet.

However, not all lunar eclipses will lead to a "bloody" show. This happens only when the sun, Earth and moon are aligned, with Earth in the middle. Usually a lunar eclipse totality only lasts for around an hour. When sunlight passes through the Earth's atmosphere, it will light the moon, giving it the red color and the name, Blood Moon.

We also wrote what will be the effect of a lunar Eclipse on July 27 signs of the zodiac: astrologers ' forecasts.

The moon turns deep red or reddish brown during eclipses, instead of going completely dark.

According to AccuWeather, the entirety of the total lunar eclipse will be visible across most of Africa and central Asia.

As with most eclipses, conspiracy theorists believe it is a sign of the end times and is referred to as the Blood Moon prophecy.

Totality, the period of time that the moon is fully in Earth's shadow, will last for approximately 103 minutes (1 hour, 42 minutes), with partial phases occurring before and after. For those unaware, the eclipse will begin at 11:30pm IST on July 27 2018. It's making its closest approach to Earth in 15 years, just 35.8 million miles away from us.

When will the Total Lunar Eclsipe Start?
